These 26 spellers qualify for the DPS "City Orals" District Championship Spelling Bee to be held on Thursday, February 28, at Hamilton Middle School.  The top 26 spellers also qualify for the Colorado State Spelling Bee to be held on Saturday, March 16, at University of Denver, Sturm Hall.
  
**Eight spellers qualify for the "City Orals" District Championship Spelling Bee. They are: Malin Wolfson, 5th grade, Cory (-31 lost on a tie-breaker to Numair Jaiya); Gray Olson, 6th grade, Morey (-33); Lily Thomsen, 8th grade, Merrill (-33); Matthew Weisenburger, 6th grade, Merrill (-33); Kylie Luke, 5th grade, Swigert (-34); Cayman White, 6th grade, RMSEL (-34); Jane Wiebe, 5th grade, Polaris (-34); Luke Yeh, 3rd grade, University Park (-34).
