A practice list for the "City Orals Championship Spelling Bee" to be held Wednesday, March 16, will be posted here during the first week of January, 2011.  Spellers qualifying for the Colorado State Spelling Bee or finishing in the top 25 on the 2011 City Written Spelling Test are eligible to compete in this spelling bee.  The first 160 words in the spelling bee will come from this list. All words on this practice list come from 2011 Spell It!  A 107-word championship round list will subsequently be used.  Words on the championship round list could be any of the words in Webster's Third New International Dictionary, Unabridged, 2002 edition.  Again, a dictionary of these words including pronunciations and definitions will be furnished to all eligible spellers.
